Roughly a Quarter of It Is a Person. The Rest Is the App.
Software is good at structure, scheduling and remembering what you have not opened in three weeks. It is not good at noticing that you have been avoiding Economy on purpose, or at telling you so. That is the part we are putting a person on.
Four Things Happen, in This Order, Every Fortnight.
The Mentor Sets the Plan Against Your Tree
Not a generic timetable. A plan written against the syllabus tree for your exam and medium, which then arrives as your daily queue inside the app.
You Study to It, and the App Records What Happened
Topics marked done, mocks attempted, questions missed. By the time the call comes round, neither of you is working from memory.
You Talk Every 15 Days
A scheduled call against the same plan you can both see: what the fortnight covered, what it did not, and what changes for the next one.
A Weak Mock Pulls the Call Forward
A poor attempt triggers a short-notice call instead of waiting for the next slot. The fix is cheapest in the week the paper went wrong.
Every User We Called Asked for the Same Thing.
After launch we phoned the people using NotesCafe. Most liked the notes and the structure. Three of them had gone further and built real personal note collections on top of ours.
155
personal notes added by one student
48
by a second, in the same period
30
by a third — all three asked for a mentor
These are figures from our own calls with our own users, not a survey and not a growth metric. We publish them because they are the honest reason this module is being built.
What We Are Not Promising.
- Is mentorship included in my plan?
- Not yet. It is being rolled out and is not bundled into either the Test Series or the Study OS plan today. When it is, the pricing page will say so on the plan itself rather than in a footnote.
- Who are the mentors?
- People who have written the exam. We are not listing names or photographs until the mentors have agreed to be named — an empty section is more honest than a stock portrait with an invented biography under it.
- Will a mentor guarantee a result?
- No. Nobody can, and anyone who says otherwise is selling something else. What a mentor changes is whether the weeks between now and the exam are spent on the right things.
- How do I get on the list?
- Write to us with your exam, your attempt number and where you think the preparation is leaking time. We will tell you honestly where the rollout has got to.
